The big news is that you'll be able to listen to my new pilot radio show every second Saturday starting December 6th at 10am. "Tracking Changes" (Radio Centre-Ville: 102.3 FM or 88.3 on cable) will present Montreal local music artists in a informal setting, where you'll be able to listen to their music and know more about their projects. For the pilot run, I'll be on the air every second week, for the month of December.

I need your support, please listen to the show and call the radio station to say how much you loved it (hopefully you will). The more people call, the more chances I have to continue in the air for longer. IMPORTANT: you can also listen to the show on the internet at www.radiocentreville.com. And if you miss it at 10am, no problem, the show stays online for a whole week after the broadcast. Just click on the right time on the schedule. Enjoy!

More news: my friend Thiago is going to sing this coming Saturday, December 6th at Église St. François Solano (3730 rue Dandurand, Montreal). It starts at 20h and it's free. Donations will be accepted for the church's renovation.

Now, I'm going to sing too! I'll be performing children's songs and Christmas songs at Vanier College's Staff End of Year Celebration. It'll be a Children-Sing-Along where I'll sing in several languages and play my guitar. Unfortunatelly, this isn't open to the public, but I still thought I'd let you know.

I was thinking about what to write today and then I remembered an essay I wrote for music history class last semester. I thought of publishing it here because it was quite an interesting subject, but since it was music, I thought of searching youtube to see what I got as example. Atomium, Flea Market, Fête de la BD... biking around Brussels

Yesterday it was very sunny so I decided to go for a bike ride in the morning to enjoy the day. I went to the Atomium , one of the big tourist attractions in Brussels, which consists of a huge metallic-looking structure representing an atom. I didn't go in because I wanted to spend the day outside and save the 8 euros of admission fee, but it was nonetheless a pleasant trip. The Atomium is very shiny on a sunny day (and at night too, thanks to the lights they turn on at sundown). Later in the day I joined Courtney (an American girl from Florida/California I met through Couch Surfing) at the Flea Market at Place Jeu de Balle. It was interesting to see how much random stuff can be together in the same public square. The prices are not cheap, specially if you are chatting in English and look like a tourist, but the view is quite peculiar. Pesquisando minhas origens

Um dos países em que passamos nessa viagem de bicicleta é a Itália. Cruzamos a fronteira suíço-italiana na cidade de Como e logo depois pegamos o trem (ou melhor, 4 trens) pra chegar em Rovigo, a região de onde alguns dos meus antepassados paternos vieram. Já faz tempo que minha tia Marlene está pesquisando a árvore genealógica da família e coletando os documentos necessários para dar a entrada na cidadania italiana, mas ainda faltam duas das certidões e eu me ofereci pra ir procurar em pessoa. Então eu e o Jon colocamos nossos disfarces de detetives e começamos a busca. A primeira parada foi na prefeitura de Rovigo (capital), aos trancos e barrancos eu consegui me fazer entender num italiano digno de "Terra Nostra" (leia-se "italiano de meia tigela"), com ajuda do meu querido ipod e do Ultralingua Italiano-Inglês .
