Natal no natal!

Conversa vai, conversa vem, eu convenci o Jon a pegar o restante das férias dele e ir me visitar lá no hemisfério sul. Estamos loucos pra aprender a mergulhar e tirar umas foto...

Art+Culture Interview

I had the privilege to be interviewed by Natalia Lebedinskaia , for the website Art+Culture . She was one of the wonderful volunteers that helped me put together the Blabla Festival this year. Here is an excerpt of the interview (for the complete version, click the title): Artist Initatives In Montreal: One. Natália Perez And The Bla Bla Festival by Natalia Lebedinskaia The BlaBla Festival received great feedback from both the performers and the audience. They all felt that they were a part of a really close-knit community event, and they loved the variety of the shows. Many music performers enjoyed a full audience, while some others were much more intimate, such as Marc-André Casavant's Disco Salope. Interestingly, it became very powerful as a result of the small audience: his goal was to shock, and with only a few people, there was no way to hide behind the anonymity of the crowd. He also changed the plan for ...

Adventures in Victoria - Part 2

Wednesday was the day when we visited the Thetis Lake Regional Park, a region that was declared Canada's first nature sanctuary, in 1958. There you can go for a hike, for a swim or just relax on a rock by the lakesore. We decided to take our bikes on the trails for some extra adventure, which would have been a great idea if we had brought our helmets, but we hadn't and I ended up falling head first and getting some bruises and a black eye. Now I understand my sister Mirian's pain when she fell from her bike head first going downhill when we were teenagers. It does hurt. I learned my lesson: I will not bike without a helmet anymore. Apart from this - thank God - minor accident, the park was totally awesome. The trails were really well kept and the forest is quite beautiful. We even had a chance to take a picture of a woodpecker. For those who like to fish, apparently you can catch trout and some sort of bass in the lake. To make your way to the lake by bike, you can take th...
