Hello, hello: Here I am, with the morning after effect of the big Dom Casmurro adventure – what a great sense of relief! Thanks to all of you who came to support us – it is always nice to play to a full house – even when the venue is small like the one we were at. Please, don't forget to write your comments about the play (etceteratheatre@gmail.com). Your opinion will be much appreciated, since we intend to present the show again in May 2009 (in French, too!). For now, the company shall take a brief break before continuing to work on the show. I'll post the complete information about the next run closer to the date, which will be around the end of May. Let me go now, I gotta catch up with school work (which has been postponed until the end of the production period). See you later,

Yeah, I know. It's been more than a month without posting... But I've got a good reason, please forgive me. I've been working on a show... more specifically, writing, producing, acting, and making it happen. Do you remember my first posting - the one about Machado de Assis? He's one of my favorite authors and I decided to share a bit of his wits with my dear public here in North America. I am adapting his acclaimed novel '' Dom Casmurro" to the stage, with the help of a wonderful team of talented people: Parissa Mohit is our animator, Audrey-Anne Bouchard is in charge of lights, Jon Oster of sound and Glen Knorr is my partner on stage. Stay tuned, it comes up in less than two weeks, as part of the Art Matters Festival at Concordia University. Here is the complete info: DOM CASMURRO by Machado de Assis March 4th at 7pm Galerie Artefacto 3520 rue St-Jacques Ouest Metro Lionel-Groulx FREE ADMISSION! The play is part of Night Vision - An intermedia art show ...

Although for some it might seem crazy to ride a bike in the dead of winter, it is actually a very pleasant activity. It keeps you active, you don't have to depend on buses, and it's completely environmentally friendly. Plus, it's a fantastic way to increase your serotonin levels and keep you happy during winter. With the right gear, you won't feel cold at all--quite the opposite. Montreal is a biker friendly city--or so it claims. According to the city, these are the parts of the bike path open during the whole year. Bikers, though, are having a hard time riding in the Reseau Blanc. It's not only that VERY IMPORTANT parts of the network are officially closed (Westmount being the most annoying for me personally), but parts that are supposed to be clean (and thus safe) for us bikers are full of snow and (worse) ice. It's actually more dangerous riding on the paths than on the road. I had a personally frustrating experience last Monday, January 5th 2009. Riding on...
